General Information Printout (#1 of 2). This general printout explains the POQ scoring procedure and lists the different groups for which summary results can be produced. In addition, please note that the parent responses from both English and Spanish forms are tallied together in the same batch.

 Scoring Notes

 1. Survey results are reported as PERCENT POSITIVE RESPONSE or PPR.
 2. PPR = (SCORED POINTS / POSSIBLE POINTS) X 100
 3. Each item has possible two points > YES=2 and SOMETIMES=1 and NO=0.
 4. A PPR is computed for each item.
 5. A composite PPR is the mean of the applicable item PPRs.
 6. The total survey PPR is the mean of the six composite PPRs.

 Printouts

 7. POQ.EXE makes generate printouts for each of these groups,
  provided answer sheets are coded to allow it...

    a. Parents of All Students
    b. Parents of Male Students
    c. Parents of Female Students
    d. Parents of White Students
    e. Parents of Hispanic Students
    f. Parents of Other-Ethnic Students
    g. Parents of 1st Grade Students
    h. Parents of 2nd Grade Students
    i. Parents of 3rd Grade Students
    j. Parents of 4th Grade Students
    k. Parents of 5th Grade Students
    l. Parents of 6th Grade Students
    m. Parents of 7th Grade Students
    n. Parents of 8th Grade Students
    o. Parents of 9th Grade Students

 8. POQ.EXE will not make a printout for any group with ZERO members.
    If your school has no 7th graders, you will not get a 7th grade
    printout.  If you don't use gender or ethnic codes on the answer
    sheets, you will not get gender or ethnic printouts.

Group Summary Printout (#2 of 2). The group summary printout shows both composite and item scores. On the sample "Parents of All Students" printout below, parents gave their highest composite rating (PPR=96) to discipline in the school and their lowest composite rating (PPR=82) to their children's academic progress. Parents gave their most positive rating (PPR=99) to #7 (important to obey rules). Parents tied two items for their least positive rating (PPR=78). They were #9 (belongings safe at school) and #29 (writing progress OK).
